Seriously tho, it sounds like something badly wrong with the server, maybe a corrupt JVM or the like... What kind of apps are you running on it? Processor useage, mem useage, bandwidth, etc. ? I assume since you say you're able to look at the logs that this is a dedicated / colo server.
