I would back up. Uninstall CFMX Install it as a stand-alone server Login and Verify (http://localhost:8500/CFIDE/Administrator) Shut down CFMX Install Updater 2 Login and Verify (http://localhost:8500/CFIDE/Administrator) Finally when it's done, I would take a stab at running the wsconfig file or better yet, peek in your [installpath]:\CFusionMX\bin\connectors directory and run IIS_connector.bat
