I agree. I wasn't really involved in the original thread or comment, I was just coming in on the tail end noticing Sean mentioning the format. One of those moments when you realize how varried the audience really might be. In any event -- there's no need to apologize. :)
As an asside, I've actually been vaguely contemplating writing a book myself recently. I would write it and then see if anyone wanted to publish it after the fact. Finding or making the time for it may be problematic. I have two tentative titles in mind. The Complete Compleat ColdFusioner which is an allusion to an L. Sprague deCamp book I've never read. ;P or ColdFusion Best Practices and Crack-Head Tricks. Jeff Houser voted for the latter. ;P If I do end up writing it, I'll probably try to make it accessible in html format on the web in addition to the/a print version. I'm not as yet convinced that making print content available on the web will make book sales completely unprofitable. > man you aint gotta explain yo self to no one... > people should really just be happy that the knowledge > you chose to share, is there for "free" for us. i > mean...come > on...simon you are an incredible helper on a coupla lists > im on, and for the love of jehovah...i think its just cool > that you made that available for us, and no matter what > format that its in...its still cool and accesible to > 99.9 percent of us :) > later man...tony > -----Original Message----- > From: Simon Horwith [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Sunday, March 30, 2003 11:48 PM > To: CF-Talk > Subject: RE: I've made two papers available > Do keep in mind that I wrote these papers as chapters to a > book - the > publisher went under and I never got paid, and so I > decided to post my > work > rather than have it go to waste.
