it prolly has to do with the prize, and that being limited to residents of the usa. not macromedia silly boys. no one hates you just because you are canadian, although it may be the whole USA - France thing ;) jk I love canada. I have had way too much fun with french canadian women in montreal to think other wise....but then again, that was before the whole MARRIAGE thing, so that doesn't matter now :)
