Rackspace offers just that ... rack space. I've used Rackspace in the past and their service is phenomenal, albeit expensive. They offer excellent service, excellent uptime and very friendly and helpful staff. I think the issue is more with the people sending the spam, I've never received any spam from [EMAIL PROTECTED] I'm sure they do what they can to root out spammers while still respecting their customers' right to do business. As far as porn goes, while I'm not a porn supporter I do believe in their right to exist. Free speech is far beyond the realm of CF-Talk but if you expect Rackspace to not host porn then you should also call Google and every other search engine to task for indexing it and even companies like Macromedia who allow their software to be used to develop it. That's a pretty slippery slope.
Really, if people would stop looking at porn then Rackspace would stop hosting it. There seems to be some demand for it however, so I'm sure someone out there is going to capitalize on that. Porn existed before Rackspace and Rackspace is not morally responsible to stop porn. Everyone involved in porn does so out of their own free will, it's really not our place to scorn them as an industry simply because we have a moral objection to their product - we can choose to ignore it and leave it at that. Honestly, I don't want a Dedicated Host that tells me what I can and can't serve off of my server I want a host that keeps the network up and remains transparent and uninvolved in my business. And no, I'm not a porn developer and I have no financial interest in Rackspace. I just believe in their right to do business however they want provided it's all legal. Anyway, this is WAAAAY off topic.
