Jim, you make a good point below about the benefits of transitioning CFML to
a J2EE platform. But as for folks making a decision "to go with a .NET
solution over CF", and indeed in light of the issues Eric originally raised
on the subject of CFML vs .NET, I'd like to reiterate a point I made in a
note here on 6/22, viewable online at:

With BlueDragon/.NET, we're going to offer a way for CFML developers to run
their apps natively atop the .NET framework. Just like you note that one can
move a CFML app to J2EE (in both CFMX and BlueDragon), we will give you the
means to do the same in .NET. And that, too, will open up many of the
benefits of the .NET framework to CFML developers.

Just something to keep in mind in any debate on CFML vs .NET. It doesn't
have to be an either/or decision.
