I wouldn't think this is possible since cf is server side. However - Dreamweaver and flash both have detection scripts if you have a copy of them lying around.
Otherwise - this guy is very well known and has in depth flash detection scripts - moock.org The code browser hawk has been mentioned several times on list which also has detailed information available about the browser. macromedia.com and a simple search using "flash detection" will bring up plenty of options including shim.swf's etc ( which can be dynamically created and displayed using cf conditions. I personally like this javascript method mentioned here http://www.xs4all.nl/~ppk/js/flash.html hth jay miller G-matcomkc wrote: > Is there a simple and effective way to programmatically determine in CF > whether a user has installed the Flash player? > > TIA, > > Brian > > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=4 FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Get the mailserver that powers this list at http://www.coolfusion.com Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
