Try Outstart's Softsim. http://www.outstart.com/products/softsim.asp It
allows you to create useable simulations of a product. Last time I used
it it was able to export flash, java, or xml based sims with very little
effort. That was some time ago though, so the complexity may have gone
up.

Also, there is hypercam which makes avi's, or there used to be a great
one called Flashcam, by nexus concepts. eHelp has acquired this software
though, and now releases it as RoboDemo.
http://www.ehelp.com/products/robodemo/ Haven't tried it since they took
it over, but my clients liked the streaming flash demos.

Best,

Chris

Subject: [OT] Software to generate online training sessions

Hello all! I need to start building some help/online training sessions
for
the users of my apps, and am wondering what software some of you with
similar needs are using. The software would need to be able to record my
screen activity as I demo various actions, be able to annotate as
necessary,
and also record voice instructions that go along with the video. If it
can
also import screen shots that is a plus. I saw someone use software
with a
name like "Campesa" or something similar, but the guy is no longer
reachable
for more info. Cost is a bit of a factor - I can't break the bank on
this
part of the project.

Any recommendations?

Thanks!
Reed
