I don't know. The Call For Votes appeared on several mailing lists and
newsgroups, so I don't think there was anything intrinsically wrong with
"selling the idea". Perhaps everyone should've mentioned it in their
weblogs. ;o) If anyone seems enthusiastic about the idea six months
from now I may try again, if not I won't.
One harsh possibility may be that ColdFusion isn't popular enough to
warrant it's own comp.* newsgroup, but that's certainly not one I buy
into. Another possibility might be that CF developers simply prefer
Macromedia's own forums or mailing lists such as this. It's something I
could pontificate on endlessly, to be honest. ;o)
