one thing, select boxes, are a windows api component, not a web browser
component.  (I think ive explained this right,) if you notice, dhtml menus
that happen to go over select boxes, actually go behind them rather than in
front of them, regardless of the z-index you specify.

just an fyi that may be in the right direction.

Subject: simple form submit

i have a simple form with a select box , couple of text boxes and  a submit
button.
when i place my cursor in any text box and press 'Enter' on key board the
form is 'Submit'ted.
if i select an option in select box(the select box focussed) and press
'Enter' on key board ....the form is not submitted.
i am wondering why the select object is behaving different than all other
form objects.
may be the <select> is not of <input type...?
i am using IE 6.0 AND win XP. i tested in netscape 7.1 also.
any help in this regard is much appreciated.
TIA,
SAMPATH
