I'm actually working on a project for a realtor that we're trying to do
just that.
As far as I can tell, there's no way to roll-your-own connection to MLS.
But there's a couple of services out there that can be used to get at MLS.
One is MLS Assistant (www.mlsassistant.com). Easiest to deal with, but also
most limited. Basically you pop open a window and point it at their site,
only real customization is a banner across the top. There's a yearly charge
for the service. These folks also offer a fairly simple templated website
service for realtors.
Other is MLSPIN (www.mlspin.com, I think - have to check tomorrow). Much
more robust, you can even pull datafeeds through their IDX service. I
haven't fully explored what these folks offer.
