(*nods*) That and if I wanted to go with the COM route I'd just have the
server install a copy of Excel 2000 and then prompt the user with a direct
download of the .XLS file, since once the file has been created and saved
with the bordering it should be readable.
Thanks to all for the answers, for the short term I've built a web version
of the same report to let users just view the report on the web. That
should take care of things for the time being.
