This wont help make mdb a data source, but
http://mdbtools.sourceforge.net/ with those tools you can edit and
extract the mdbs to postgres or mysql - why bother with access when
Linux has so many other databases you can use?
If you want to allow clients to upload have'em export to dbf - those are
very easy to read.
