take off the "Document Title" column. The icons won't take hardly any
resources, but the title forces the program to search each file for a
<title> tag. Turn it off by right-clicking in the file area window, go to
view and uncheck "Document Title". Unchecking the other fields doesn't seem
to help a lot, but YMMV.
Disabling the "Document Title" column can sometimes speed file listings
dramatically.

does anyone know if there is a way to tell homesite
plus to not show windows icons in the folder tree view?
I think it would speed up folder file listings...wsftp had a setting
like that, and it made a 1000% increase in speed of the file refresh.
