Not at all - if you have three siblings, "A", "B", "F" and the user wants to
add another sibling, if you just "add another sibling (ex: "C") at the
right-most position" (what celko does in his examples), the siblings are
ordered:
"A", "B", "F", "C"
My users would all want that sibling to fall between "B" and "F" - in
alphabetical order.
Think about it in terms of a taxonomy list that you're going to use for
categorizing a resource. Do you want your users to have to hunt and peck
through the list to find the appropriate taxonomic category? Or, do you want
that to have some sort of implicit order at the sibling level? Or look at
Yahoo - at each level of the taxonomy, the items are alpha ordered.
