the <CFMail> mailerID parameter for outgoing mail be set to a build of
Outlook, Eudora or some other desktop client, rather than using the CFMail
default, which in my case would be Cold Fusion Application Server 6.1. This
was mentioned because some spam filters think that CFMX is a bulk emailer,
and will block the message.
Now I find that Spam Assassin is now sensing that this setting may have been
changed (in other words hard coded by me), as evidenced by the following
header message that one of my clients received:
===========
0.5 -- Message has X-MSMail-Priority, but no X-MimeOLE *
3.5 -- Forged mail pretending to be from MS Outlook
---- End of SpamAssassin results
===========
So what's the right way to handle the mailer ID, or will this be forever a
cat-and-mouse game?
FYI - my client has a double-opt-in list from within his industry, he is not
a spammer.
Thanks, Mark
