I've had serious problems with IE and Acrobat Reader 6. IE seems to max out
the processor and take an absolute age to come back. What I have found to
work in this instance is to lower the priority of the offending IE process
to 'below normal' then Acrobat is given enough CPU cycles to actually
launch. Once Acrobat has fully loaded, the CPU usage of IE drops back down
to nil. Funnilly enough, the same is now happening on my browser with
Quicktime.
