The web server will take the CC once. Then an internal machine on our lan connected with a VPN will do recurring billing in batch mode.
If I send only the ID, I have no way of knowing the CC number. Or I am not understanding you correctly

Couldn't you provide the second machine with a read-only view of the
credit card table in MSSQL, and when sending the second machine info,
just send it the ID of the CC for it to read...
It's more of a "Pass by Reference" than a "Pass by Value" and it's more
secure than passing the data around in any form, encrypted or not.

Subject: Online Payment Form
Hello,
I need to create an online payment form for one of my clients. We will
need to store the credit cards in a MSSQL database encrypted then send
the encrypted info to another machine.
This form needs to be reviewed by the company issuing the merchant
account for security and stability. I have never done this before.
Could someone point me in the right direction, pitfall, what to include
etc..
I would also be open send off a couple of hours of consulting time via
paypal to anyone off list that has a lot of experience that would be
will guide through this.
Thanks
Mike
