I think you & Eron are right.  I should reinstall Studio, it is clearly a 
Studio problem.  But I don't have the time or energy to do that and all else 
works fine (except, of course, for aforementioned memory leaks...).  But I 
did install HomeSite.  We have it for the non-developers here.  AND THAT 
WORKED!!!  I can now see & work with my databases, such as they are!
