new AMD64 servers. Unfortunately he was unable to do so as there were no
stable 64-bit Java runtimes available. However he believes it would be
trivial to do once a stable Runtime became available.
I'd ask him for more details only he's off sick today. However what we ended
up with was 64-bit Debian OS and 64-bit MySQL and CFMX was set up in 32-bit
mode. This worked extremely well for us considering the db was our main
performance bottleneck (over 25 million records). increasing CFMX to 64-bit
will then simply be a matter of utilising a 64-bit Runtime when it becomes
available.
