~Legalities of AMFPHP

We're still not completely sure whether or not AMFPHP is completely legal. We're not sure if it's legal at all. If you're in doubt about the legalities, it's probably best to play it safe and get written permission, directly from Macromedia, to use AMFPHP.

We do not recommend (at all) using AMFPHP in commercial applications at this time. Just don't.

However, we're busy ourselves sorting out this issue, and we should be changing this documentation soon to reflect our information. Rest assured that once we know, you'll find that information immediately on our site's front page in big bold letters.

That said, we still don't know that it's explicitly illegal to use AMFPHP. We encourage its use for personal applications and for learning more about the ActionScript Message Format, Flash, PHP, object-oriented programming, and programming in general.~

now on your flash list it did start off on topic because I recommended that that newbie maybe try cfm for remoting since it was built in & then i got blasted from all the php know-it-alls (who didnt know shit)

while i got several emails off list from some of them and they are now moving to cfm, i kinda hoped u'd step up in defending cfm :(
