put the accents in with the English keyboard controls in Windows.
There are special keyboards and drivers for French accents and other languages, but the trouble
is that they replace keys like [ ] { } which a programer needs at least as much.
I've benn using ordinary keyboard for years and got used to type accented characters with the Alt-num key.
alt-130 =é
alt-131 = â
etc...
you end up knowing all of them by hart.
I finally switched to a French canadian QWERTY keybord, and now use alt keys for [ ] { } etc.
