The answer to that question will depend largely on what your criteria
are for what you consider good.

Tomcat is free and very widely used, so there is no cost for ongoing
updates and there is a large community of people to ask if something
goes wrong.

JRun is pretty easy to administer and if you're sticking with ColdFusion
anyhow you can probably get all your support wrapped up together. Also,
since it's from the same vendor as ColdFusion, compatability is likely
to be less of an issue than with other options.

Weblogic and Websphere have their own strengths too, but I'm not so
familiar with either of them.

So it's down to what you need from your J2EE server.

Once you've decided on your criteria for deciding it will probably come
down to a question of short and long term costs.

We currently have, believe it or not, Tomcat, JRun, Weblogic, and Websphere deployed somewhere in our infrastructure, and I am looking to consolidate on one platform. This is a long-term project, so right now I'm just doing background research.
