I have a site on a server running CFMX 6.1 on Solaris. When I try to CFHTTP to http://www.nws.noaa.gov/data/current_obs/KHUM.xml I get a 408 error. However, I can open this URL in my browser fine.
I have been told by the server admin that the issue is the CFHTTP will not send a request header for HTTP 1.1, which is required by the Akamai network hosting the NWS site. I seem to remember a Java class that can make an HTTP request, but have gone brain dead. Can someone suggest a replacement for CFHTTP that does not require Windows?
