My job's recently gotten a little schizophrenic, and I'm currently
working in both C# (along with ASP.NET) and CF. I think that once
you've gotten a general command of the languages involed, you can
perform common web application tasks in either at about the same rate
of speed.

IMHO, what seperates the two is that CF is very simple from a code
perspective, while using a .NET solution tends to have a lot more code
involved. Where the "catching up" seems to come from is using a
Microsoft IDE - they really do a good deal of typing for you. If I
had to work in Notepad, there's no question that I'd be faster in CF -
even with all involved languages memorized - because there's simply
less typing to do.

I think Dave wraps it up really well: "[In C#,] you have more
explicit control over many things, but you have to do more work as a
result."
