Hey Mike, If it's any consulation...it's the exact same scene in Western Canada...and has been for years. MM seems to think that Toronto and the rest of Eastern Canada is where the action is (most likley because they are HQ'd on the East coast).
When I still ran the local CFUG it was likle pulling teeth to get any MM folks up here to promote CF...I even offerred to setup a technology preview with federal and provincial government IT folks...nope...no interest. There was supposed to be a CF NorthWest conference over the summer in Vancouver (put on by Ray at CommunityMX if I recall correctly)....I never heard anything about it....I think it tanked and never happened. The funny thing is Allaire bought a company or at least a division of a company based in Vancouver (formerly Catouzer and then became EvolutionB). One of the folks that was "bought" and moved to Botson and then handed to MM during the merger is back here in Victoria now working for Sierra Systems. I'm pretty sure that the purchase division had something to do with creating Flash Remoting for CF (or at least that's what this guy worked on at MM). So...even though you get ZERO support from MM (I loved Allaire)....this has been par for the course for years...through many a thread on the death of CF and MS buying MM ;-) Hmmm....I remember another guy from Catouzer/EvolutionB (in Vancouver)...from Australia....moved back home to become the head sales rep for CF (for Allaire)...Tim something All that activity in Vancouver...and key people and development going on...but silly me for thinking that MM should bother to look this way ;-) I feel your pain Mike...I have also given up..too much effort.
