I'll try to get this in some shareable format, perhaps on sourceforge... I also have a standalone java app which runs the "batch-o-matic" (for lack of a better term) from outside the CF servlet container. You could then distribute the mail across a pool of SMTP servers if you need the load and have the servers available. I use it for mailings of 50,000-70,000 and aim to get it flushed out within 12-18 hours when I send one. I usually send about 100-400 mails, wait 5 minutes and repeat.
