Maybe it's a small thing, but implementing <CFOUTPUT GROUP="> was pretty involved when developing in PHP. I had 3 levels of equivalent <CFOUTPUT> to deal with, all grouped. Maybe I missed some u-beaut PHP function as I learnt it for one project.
If the web is primarliy about displaying information, the CFQUERY + CFOUTPUT tags vs query building in PHP or (I'm guessing) ASP.NET, jsp etc make CF a no brainer choice for me over any competing language.
