Perhaps, but if they are, do you really think they're so cost-conscious about the price of CF server licensing if they're willing to pay for Windows licensing without batting an eye? I like Windows as much as the next guy, but when I provision a server with Windows, I'm paying for something that has a free competitor, just like when I buy CF. Unless you're doing something specific with Windows integration - using Active Directory for IIS authentication for example - how do you justify the cost of purchasing Windows? The same arguments here would apply to justifying the cost of purchasing CF, in my opinion. If it makes your job easier, it's typically worth the cost. If not, it isn't.
