Yeah, even at the time I assumed I was doing something wrong. Once I decided to use HomeSite, I quit looking for the proper way to do it in Dreamweaver.
I should note that I was making editable and repeating regions in code view as opposed to selecting the content and then choosing the appropriate toolbar command. I don't know if that makes a difference.
