I have a client who is obsessed with defining standard operating procedures. If I put up a quickie workflow management system for the guy I'd win some points.
I haven't gone through the requirements phase because I'm looking for a quickie example. My general problem in defining this task is identifying the person / task / business process relationship in the database. Does anyone know of an online tutorial with workflow as an example? Any RAD language is cool. In general I want to build a larger "TurboTax" style decision tree admin system in CFCs. You know, a Workflow BUILDER so the clients can say, Create name for task, Assign task to Dave, email him this text, upon completion, task is submitted to Steve for approval, so choose Steve from dropdown list. That kind of thing where the clients drag and drop, the data is stored in tables and we can reuse this for every standard operating procedure ever. Anyone know of any examples of this kind of system- even an online demo might help me get my head around it so this doesn't take weeks. THANKS!
