Imagine TNT, or FedEx delivery can look up any other orders you placed
and are currently under delivery, just by enabling their small mobile
phone application.

I see a lot more possibilities, but don't forget, user interface design
for mobile displays is a job apart. You just cannot dump some fields
here, some fields there, etc. GUI for mobile devices requires thorough
planning, review, and testing.

I see possibilities, in checking your backaccount, content management,
ordering a pizza, stock exchange, product stock management, and
logistics.

I admit, it depends on where you are, but in Japan the growth is huge,
the increases in speed are huge, and it won't take long or we get the
speed amount too. We invest heavily in GPRS, and UMTS technology,
whereas UMTS is able to deliver broadband speeds. UMTS requires other
transmission methods than GSM standards, so this takes some time to
evolve.

So I partially disagree. I do believe we will do specific things by
phone in future. I don't believe we will do all by phone, like ordering
a book at amazon.com. There is too much content involved (description,
reviews, buying processes) in its current state to be userfriendly, and
for begin a true time saver.

I heard people saying years ago, SMS wasn't all that. Well, see now, the
SMS market is enormous, with millions of revenue, integrated into TV
shows, radio shows, websites, everywhere.

Imagine this with mobile devices and web apps. I think it is possible,
but it requires a strong application. A contineous session, like MSN
Messenger would work well on mobile phones.

But I think Browsing on any handheld device is pretty pointless, it is
still
too slow.

Sorry if this wasn't clearer. I was referring to HTML forms (Flash isn't
supported on the Treo 600 - Palm OS). It's a small screen and very time
consuming process for larger forms.

For a search box like google, it's no big deal, but registration forms
are
really frustrating because of screen size and other factors.
