They used to have a user forum accessible to the public.  There were a
LOT of angry posts on there regarding promised products that never
materialized (i.e. "buy this and get that free when its released... so
BUY NOW").

I actually wrote GridMonger specifically because I was tired of
waiting for one of those no-shows.  Had a lot of his former users jump
ship to it over time so I got an earful from a lot of folks in
addition to what I could see myself.

Tip of the iceberg.  He used to also phony-up the Macromedia Devex
downloads, but if you did the math (total d/l's divided by days
released) it added up to like 10000 downloads a day or something silly
like that, then once it hit #1 the downloads mysteriously stopped
dead.

Just noticed some other guy got the same brilliant idea on the CF side
of the Devex.  Even greedier.  Decided to dummy up the top three spots
and not just #1.  Macromedia apparently has never paid any attention
to this tactic
