In that case, do you really want to move the user to a page out of sequence?
Aren't they more likely to want to see the next records in the sequence to
potentially edit those?

If the answer is no, you should be able to do a little bit of math to figure
out which page you now want to be on, based on the number of items within a
page and the sort order. That's a pretty generic answer, but I'd have to
look a little bit at your code to go any farther I think.
