Yes, old news. Microsoft committed much sooner and earlier than Macromedia.

Hmm... who's "FUD-flinging" here??
Some facts according to a recent Forrester study about the organizations
that employ most of those "American CF developers":
- 56% of respondents use .NET for most of their development
(61% for organizations with 1,000 to fewer than 5,000 employees)
- .NET is the primary development platform in 5 of 7 industry
groups.
Despite the natural tendency of many to ignore more than half the IT
population due to Macromedia's lack of native support for CFML on .NET, the
need to redeploy, integrate and extend CFML applications natively on .NET is
equally (and arguable more) valid than doing so on J2EE.
Not to diminish or refute the experiences at MXDU, but perhaps with the
recent release of BlueDragon 6.2 (with a version that enables CFML to be
used as a native .NET web-scripting language) Microsoft may have numerous
things to say of direct relevance to the CFML community. After all, they
have the dominant deployment platform. ..and better development tools ...and
offer a better fit for the typical CFML developer skill set...

Yes, finally. ...after much delay, kicking, clawing and screaming too...
