My experience has been solely with Blogfusion and it's been a real pleasure working with it. The initial setup took about 10 minutes and the app has several built in skins to modify to your pleasure. It works with Access, MsSql and MySql and is really simple to customize. The framework is intuitive and easy to work with.
The hidden power to BF is that you can turn it into a content management system (to build any type of site, not just a blog - this could be helpful to some developers) with a few small tweaks. It comes unencrypted, all code is available to modify. I'm using BF 4.0 (beta) on one of my blogs at: http://www.HealthyLivingTalk.com It's not completely finished, but should give anyone a good idea of how it works. The other cool thing about BF is it's control panel. Built in HTML editor, photo posting, stats, comments, feeds, links, podcasts, what's playing, other blogs, security, pretty much anything and everything you need (and more!). The developer, Jake, is great to work with and has put some real thought into making BF a great blog app. Support forums are available for help and a really thorough getting started guide and users guide that I got a peek at will be available with the new release. I've been BETA testing 4.0 and it's been a lot of fun. Hope this helps!
