Hello,

Anyone in here been successful at getting pollster 2.0 to work?
Pollster is a cool little polling application that came with DRK 4.
Every forum post I have found reports problems, but no one ever comes
forward with solutions. I am running IIS and using the access database
that comes with pollster. The frustrating thing is that I am getting
intermittent errors. Sometimes pollster works, other times it craps
out. I can get into the admin tool where new polls are created, but
when I click on the poll that was created.the little flash poll view
doesn't work. I have been struggling with pollster 2.0 for a week now. I
am running CF MX 6.1and I chose to use the access database that comes
with the files. I am able to get the pollster administration to work
properly (it actually inserts the polls and options into the access
database). The problem I am having is when I try to actually insert the
little polling object into my HTML page. The poll pre-loader comes up
and then it says, "We are sorry. An Error occurred and the poll will not
be able to continue.".

Heres some of the things we have tried:

1. Keeping Database and pollster admin local, Everything was kept in
it's default directory. (this worked initially, then I pasted the code
onto the website, and it would load the data, but upon trying to vote it
gave the universal error.)
* I actually went back and did this again to see how it would work and
the poll then failed to load...

2. Loading the cfml files and database onto our webserver, and then
using the dreamweaver extension tool to insert the poll. (It didn't seem
to be more effective to use the DW extension that to simply paste the
code into place.)

3. Recreating the database in MySQL and using the datasource which is
used for most of our cfqueries, as it's the primary database.
(I was unable to rename this datasource to Pollster)

4. Various other similar things, but with no success and the same
erorrs.

Note: I have include the poll.swf file in every directory which I tried
to insert the poll. It seems like it works and doesn't work somewhat
randomly, I almost modified the CfApplication file to reflect changes in
the database.

Thanks!

P.s. I have also found these two links that talk about pollster 2.but I
am unable to see If there is anything in these articles that will help
me
