Hey guys! I caught my Nigerian Scam friend! In case some of you didn't read my first post about this, here's the basics.
Nigerian Scam Guy contacts me from the cf tshirt site. Wants 150 t-shirts for "promotional items", and pronto! Emails go back and forth, I play with his mind a little, make him say some really funny things, when all of a sudden, he has a hankerin' for computers and video games. I informed him of my great supply of TRS-80's, Commodore 64's, Donkey Kong, and such. He insists on HP laptops, so I give in. I built a quick and dirty "Secure Payment Form" that not only absorbed the card numbers, but also snagged his IP address. https://www947.ssldomain.com/wtomlinson/securepayment.cfm After a week's worth of work, emails, listening to incoherent phone messages from this loser, he submits the form with TWO, countem TWOOOOOOO CC numbers. I immediately inspect my DB and the bounty, contact VISA fraud Dept., give them ALL the info. They confirmed it was a Nigerian scam, and the cardholders had been notified about the security of the cards being compromised. The moral of the story is, next time you're contacted by a nigerian scam artist, play with his mind a bit, have him fill out a form, turn him in and save someone some $$ somewhere. It's worth the effort! Well, I have to put the last phase of my plan into place.
