We expanded shipping to AUS when I was at Fitz and Floyd and it was a
BIATCH!!! We did the UK, NZ, JAP and AUS. AUS was the most difficult of
all to get done. You'll actually need to get with a UPS rep to find out
what your zone discounts will be. Then you'll need to figure out the
tariff information for your specific harmonized codes. I will *try* my
hardest to dig up that information for you, but I'm not on very good
terms with the lying, cheating bastards at Fitz and Floyd any more, so
it may take a couple days to find it on the cd's I burned for protection
before I left. Be prepared for shipping costs which are very, very high.
For our average package with a weight of 3 pounds and a declared value
or $75US, the shipping cost was about $65-$70 and on some of the heavier
items shipping was much more than the item's actuall cost.

Just for grins, I went to the UPS site to estimate shipping and I
entered a package about the weight and size of a video tape package from
Dallas to Melbourne with a declared value of $20 and shipping was
$50-$87 depending on the packaging options chosen.

If I can't find it or get it, a UPS corporate accounts rep can hook you
up with the algorithm you'll need to use based on your harmonized codes,
average monthly shipping amount and shipping zones.
