Checkout Authorize.net <http://Authorize.net>. They offer a MUCH cheaper gateway and merchant account. As a side note, you will save money on your merchant account/gateway by becoming a reseller.
There is also: http://www.usaepay.com/ http://www.linkpoint.com/ etc... One thing I recently found out is you could actually get a merchant account via a credit card company (i know amex does it and am sure visa/mc does).
