Andy Allan just noted to me this... "Fusion Reactor does require an upgrade to Java 5 if you want all the features. Seeing as how CFMX at this time isn't fully compliant with 5, you may get a few issues."

I remember Ben Forta saying at CFUNITED-05 that the CF team at then-Macromedia recognized that ColdFusion deployments are essentially "black boxes" with regard to its internals, and they there were going to focus part of Scorpio on providing tools to help mitigate this. In the meantime, I've heard good things about both SeeFusion and FusionReactor, though admittedly haven't tried them myself as yet (it's on my list!).
