Well it really depends on the length of the video, and whether the resulting video was 720x480, or scaled down. I'm guessing that using divx you can get similar results (I really doubt that flash can do better compression then divx), but flash has the added benefit of not requiring the codec on the usere's system, which is a showstopper for divx.
