Boy do I know this one well!

I don't think there is to much good news for you Mike.

What I started doing when this happened to me monthly was I used one of the
"live" linux cd's that you can boot from to get back in and get my data back
out. While you all say your windows doesn't crash and this doesn't happen... it
does... This is also a good reason to make any windows machine a dual boot and
set up linux on there with access permissions to your windows files just for
this reason.

What I would do if I was you Mike is take your harddrive out and pop a new one
in and take your old one to a recovery expert if the info is that valuable,
then of course I'd go buy a shiny new imac ;)~

Also, what I ended up doing was putting in a 2nd harddrive using that as my
storage for my cfm install and webroot, database, any important files, so when
this happens the data is safe after a re-install.

Subject: OT: Fatal windows crash

I'm getting a BSOD on my system everytime I boot it up. After about a minute it
crashes. Sometimes it says that winlogon.exe has a problem, sometimes not. The
BSOD message is:
STOP: c000021a {Fatal Systems Error}
The windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status
of 0xc0000005 (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.

Anyone have a clue as to what I can do. I'm really worried about this as I
can't reinstall without losing a lot of data. Just how screwed am I?

Thanks
