I've been using MS Visual SourceSafe for years, but haven't been much of a fan. I've even tried the latest version and the improvements are few and far between - at least for the way I use it.
I've heard good things about Subversion as well and will probably make the switch as soon as I get the opportunity. There's even a plugin for Eclipse, I've heard.
