Yes, that's correct. But that's a little different from if, say, I wrote an
ActiveX control of my own to do some specific task and put a reference to
that in a web page. This is pretty rare, nowadays - it's too much work for
too little return. Had this kind of use of ActiveX become more common, it
would be much more detrimental to Microsoft to have that stop working. On
the other hand, I doubt they're too broken up about Flash apps not working
smoothly.
