Forget about the update & install internet explorer 7.0 Also, just an fyi there are other scripts out there that accomplish this same task without having to modify all of your object classes.
One example: http://therippa.blogspot.com http://therippa.blogspot.com/2006/03/activateactivex.html This script will reload the flash content, this makes the swf load twice but for a quick fix till you have time to go though all of your flash sites and make the swfobject fix it's good enough for an example.
