Hey, we're not done yet! I'm in the same position, I'm in a contract doing some C# at the moment and having a play about with 2.0 has tickled my interest.
I was looking for book recommendations and the only one that I've seen recommended is ASP.Net 2.0 Unleashed, which isn't out till June. How they recommend it I don't know, but I guess because of the first one, ASP.Net Unleashed. I have this book and I think it's ok, but it's in VB so I have to convert the examples(which is no biggie). Sign up to the forums on http://asp.net as there is a tonne of good info on there, including book reviews AND a section about going from CF to ASP.Net. I think you'll gauge pretty quickly what's good and bad with all the controls like GridView and AdRotator if you do some work with them. If someone had told me not to use cfinsert etc. all those years ago, I wouldn't have listened to them till I knew for myself. -----Original Message----- From: Plunkett, Matthew [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 26 April 2006 18:29 To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: ASP.Net book for CF programmer Thanks very much for all the suggestions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:4:238815 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:4 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
