But you can get the best of both worlds.

Don't run an X-Windows SERVER on your web server. DO use an X-Windows server on your 
desktop machine and run GUI Linux programs displaying on your desktop. 
Remember, unlike Windows, the server and client in X-windows are completely separate 
apps and can be run on different machines.
