I would argue your point about competent being the same as having your own framework. That's pretty blanketed. Think of all the developers who don't have their own.
Open-sourcing projects (including frameworks) is a great way to get community feedback and come closer to perfecting the product. In this sense, it becomes everyone's framework. Competent in this case is simply having a solid understanding of what you are doing and being proficcient at it. -nathan strutz http://www.dopefly.com/ On 6/6/06, Claude Schneegans <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > >>Yes, assuming two other statements are true: > 1. the designer/developer is competent in general. > > Actually, this is exactly where the contradiction is: > "Competent" in developement is practically synonimous to "Having one's > own framework" > (If you really insist on calling it a "farmework") Then, obviously, one > doesn't need some people > else's framework. > -- > > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:4:242836 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:4 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.4 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
