I dont get extra code either complients of dw. Just cause you use dw doesnt 
mean that you drag and drop everything. I still hand code everything but I can 
see where my stuff is at in split view and move it and adjust it without having 
to save it and browse it everytime.

No, not with CSS layouts. Dreamweaver does include some minimal "extra" code
when you use templates, library items, or "layout tables", but even this
code is quite minimal - just some HTML comments.

Sure you can. The idea of doing things manually when you can do them
automatically is antithetical to what it means to be a programmer.

Are you building interfaces? Are you using CSS layouts? If so, you're a
designer, whether you like it or not. That doesn't mean you're a good
designer - most programmers aren't. (I'm not either.)
